I've talked up my 17" PB to my father. So, when my father came here from Germany, I took him to the Apple Store in Pentagon City Mall. And guess what? He bought a new 17" PB!

Another Windoze machine will bite the dust... You know, the one he still has at home.

Oh, and while at the Apple store, I bought Airport Express... they hadn't change the price to the regular $129 yet, so I got it for $98. hehehhehehe

Uh-huh. And now he'll return home with a power supply that doesn't fit the power outlets in Germany. How smart.

No big deal on the Power difference as long as he can pick up the right
charger when or if he's returning to Germany.

The power supplys have multi-range inputs, that's not the problem. But the plug will not fit the socket. So he needs a new plug (and, preferrably, a new cord since the plug is not grounded) which is quite expensive given what it does and is (a piece of plastic with some metal in it).

Not really, the changing from the flat style plugs to Germany's rounded ones are extremely cheap... less than a buck for 1.

But, he bought one of the kits that is good in every country while there... It is called "World travel adaptor kit."

He buys tons of electronics here in US and takes them to Germany. He has plenty of experience. :) Well, maybe not tons of electronics... but, he has experience doing it.
