Hi to all.

So i've been a Windows user for 13 years already,. I recently turned 18 and got an iMac. The delivery was a little problematic ( Due to the TNT service in Spain though not Apple ). Im loving everything about it.

Macs are just so ..... :D. I actually have fun using it, windows just attempted to make my life harder instead of easier.

Anyway I have 2 little problems.

A. The right click on the Mighty Mouse registers about 70-80% of the time. Is this a faulty Mighty Mouse (wireless) or is that just life?

B. Sometimes after I leave my iMac on for a while ( say 1-2 hours ) without doing anything and come back to it it does funny things like the programs not opening or not responding so I have to restart. Also happens sometimes after I put it too sleep. Is this a bug or???

Anyways loving this:

24"
3.06 Ghz
8800 GS
4GB RAM
500GB HDD
Cabled Keyboard
Wireless Mouse

Best Computer I have EVER used in 13 years.

Thanks :apple:

Get an MX Revolution mouse from Logitech - program the top mouse button to do command+w (close window or tab) and the side scroll wheel to shift between spaces. Works perfect. I did not like using the Mighty Mouse and also felt like the right click did not work all the time.

As for problem B, when my iMac comes back from a nice nap, it takes about 5 seconds or so before it responds to a click. You should not have to restart it. I have not restart my home iMac for weeks at a time. I would call apple care to see if they have a solution to get this fixed for you.

And if you ever forget that great feeling you get when using an iMac, go use someones XP/Vista computer for 15 minutes. It will frustrate the hell out of you and give you that warm and fuzzy feeling when you get back to your iMac.

Make sure when trying to right-click that you don't have any fingers on the left-click area of the mouse. It's a hassle, but it works 100% for me, whenever I use my parents' Mac. At home, I use a Logitech G7. Can't say enough good things about it, except for the POS Logitech software. Use USB Overdrive X instead.

Sounds strange. Do you have anything plugged into the USB or FW ports? What non-Apple software have you installed?

Apple does not like right clicking (that's life). If you feel the need to right click, you should get a mouse with a dedicated button.

Ok Im getting more accurate right clicks if I keep my finger off the Left side and I click to the far right.

About the sleep thing. Right now I had to restart after waking my machine up of a 1-2 hour sleep because the internet just didn't connect.

That's not normal.. and by normal, I mean I've never had that problem with my macbook pro or mac mini. I'd ring Apple and see if they have any advice.
