Another way to back up

I was simply AMAZED the other day - whilst surfing through www.versiontracker.com - to find a shareware application for OSX called DV Backup, by Tim Hewett (www.dotslashslash.com)

And it does what it says - it uses a bog-standard MiniDV camcorder to back up your hard drive via the DV in/out (FireWire) port.

The blurb says that you can save about 10Gb on a 1-hour tape, so backups of a whole drive can be made easily.
