well, my iphone stay normal when is in Edge or Wifi, but when i activate 3G data, the signals down to 0, dissapear the carrier name and internet, after some seconds, it appears my carrier again with the 3G logo... is this a problem or always happen on iphone 4S? D:

another question, is it normal that when i turn off my phone and then turn it on it takes over 2 mins to recognize my SIM and show signal strengh?

im in a big 2G and 3G coverage area (full 5 bars) and problem still happens when i turn on 3G from 2G or turn it off to only stay in 2G

Both of these things sound dodgy to me.

It shouldn't take 2 minutes to find the network.

It could be a problem with the SIM or with the iPhone.

Can you try the SIM in another phone (borrow one?) or a different SIM in your phone?

using the micro sim in other phone makes it work perfectly, (connect in less than 20 secs) ... oh and in my iphone tried two different sims and same thing happens...

factory reset my iphone, it takes like 30 secs to 1 min to find my SIM card when i turn it on, and, apple store? im from chile, no Apple store in my city... and i think the only one near is at 800km ><
