I know Macs do not require antivirus but I feel I need to scan my Mac as I am facing some issues for some time.

Please recommend an antivirus that you think is the best and is FREE.

If you know Macs do not require Anti-Virus software, then why ask for a recommendation to use one? As the previous reply stated, just run Malwarebytes which will scan for malware and remove it.

The App Store has a free virus scanner by Bit Defender. Except for real time scanning (which will slow your computer anyway) it has all the basic stuff.
