I have an iphone that will need a replacement screen soon. The other thing is I want to know what antivirus do you use for iphone ios? Normally I am careful with what I click on and I someone had sent me a link to an address when I asked for it and I clicked on it. I am pretty sure that person didn't post a malicious link... but the issue is if that person isn't careful with their phone like most people aren't... then couldn't they have malware/virus on it and then send it to other people? I want to know what can I do now to check for any virus or malware on my iphone before I start logging into banking sites and things like that on my iphone.
Now if I were to factory reset it, obviously that would make it clean. However, is there a way to check for malware of any sort now and then remove it? I heard there is no antivirus for IOS because it isn't needed? There seems to be a lot of free ones in the ios app store like avast, malwarebytes and even kaspersky? I use paid kaspersky total on my windows laptop.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I am pretty sure most people are not careful with what they click on their phone right? Like say you have a friend send you a link and you click on it and even though they aren't trying to send you a link with malware... if their phone has malware, is there concern to your iphone? The thing is had I not clicked on the link that person had sent me, I wouldn't be concerned of any malware or anything like that now. It was a link to a location but if they had malware on their phone, would there be any risk of malware on my phone? I heard you can't get malware on ios because it's linux based? So I don't really want to log into things like banking sites and things like that now on my phone because of this. I have no issue with my email like gmail or yahoo since well I'm always logged in all the time so it's not like I'm typing my gmail or yahoo email each time. I heard there isn't an antivirus in the app store that actually scans things? Is that true? I heard there is antivirus that would scan things in case you click on an ad... but I'm talking about if you already clicked on something that might have malware. Or should I not be concerned and just use my iphone as is?
