Good night dear!

I would like your opinions on whether or not you need to use anti-virus software to protect iOS.

And if so, what would be the best options? Are there good references that can be consulted?

Thank you!

Definitely no. In fact there is no anti-virus software on iOS. Well, unless you count XProtect which is built-in to the system and not something you'll ever see or think about. Everything that goes on an iOS devices comes from the App Store unless you manually install developer certificates. All that content is curated and checked by Apple. All programs are also sandboxed so that they can't see anything inside other programs or even the system, so even if you had a virus on the device, it couldn't affect anything, aside from itself.
