Other Any advantage connectivity wise quality of getting a iPhone from a carrier directly instead of Apple Store ?

Zero difference in actual hardware and Apple box. However, if it is being shipped to you, maybe there is a difference.
I have had AT&T ship me an iPhone in a non-padded FedEx envelope. Apple box was all dinged up, but luckily phone was okay. Since then I have purchased directly from Apple and they use custom built outer boxes for packaging, which protect the contents really well during shipping....

Maybe a bit cheaper through the carrier. Sometimes they offer some sort of discount. I usually buy through Apple and arrange for in-store pickup. Then I can open the device and confirm there was no damage while an employee can see it.
None, same quality, no difference, except you go into a carrier store; which is depressing on itself.
