any advice on buffering problem?

I have the new ATV2. I have many DVD's ripped to my HDD and they work just fine with the new ATV. I also have may home videos in my library that work fine. I just edited a movie in iMovie and the ATV does play it but the buffer takes a VERY long time. I have other home videos made in iMovie in the same folder and dont have this problem. The movie is 14 min long.

Any ideas?
