I've searched around and didn't really find anything. I like the iPhones feature where you can put favorites in the pull down screen for quick dialing. Is there a decent app on Android that does the same thing? I already have favorites one touch dial shortcuts on my desktop, but think it would be quicker to have them on the pull down.

Don't think either way is quicker TBH, but I suppose having them in Notifications gets them off your home screen. At a minimum you could combine your one-touch shortcuts into a single folder to reduce home screen clutter.

I found this one, never used though so I can't vouch for how well it works.

I'm really surprised no one has implemented this, it's so nice on iOS. Contacts notifications is the closest one, but it also displays on the lockscreen which is annoying and a security issue. It also doesn't match lollipop so hopefully they update it.

This will do it, have had it on every Android phone I have had since I found it.

You can have just a contact, quick dial, direct message, all of the toggles available like Bluetooth, WiFi, etc and totally user customizable from the color to the icons you use. I went with a more plain look for my Moto X. You can also set it to close once you choose something, like if I turn my WiFi off, it swipes back up for me closing it.

I use Notification Toggle. You can configure it any number of ways including icons, apps, text, colors, how they appear, as many as you'd like, etc. (my bad....you're looking for contacts.) I'm leaving this post up anyway as it's a nice app :)

I have mine set to show from a swipe down from the top of either the lock screen or any screen really.

Here are some screen shots of my set up.

In terms of Contacts: I like Drupe as noted above by others.

Thank you sir, this does the job quite nicely. Cool app otherwise as well.

You're talking about the 'Favorites Widget' app on iOS right?

I hope that it works out well for you. I absolutely love this widget and will not use an Android phone without it being installed. Used to run it on my home screen, but have since moved it into the drop down bar on my Moto X. It is just about perfect.
