Does anyone know of any apps like google docs and google sheets for the iPad

I don’t want to use Microsoft office or iWorks.

The only one I know of is called only office or onlyOffice.

I've used Apple's pages on my iMac. It's good enough, and allows export to .docx. Should be available on iPadOS but I've not used it to know if it's as feature rich as the macOS version.

WPS Office was really good but I've read recently they would no longer continue that service, although I can't find that news now anywhere on the site. I did notice they pulled the app. It was recently mentioned in the app update.

WPS office is free app download but has adds unless you pay to remove adds.

OnlyOffice is a free app download with no adds but from what I can tell I cannot get cloud to work. It has nextcloud, owncloud and WebDAV.

I have Dropbox and box cloud and I cannot seem to get it to show up in OnlyOffice

OnlyOffice
does have its own build in cloud from what I can tell but you have to pay to use it. It is not free.

I‘m not sure if you can extract files from OnlyOffice and copy it over to box or USB by use of file manager.

As I don't know how to get box or Dropbox to work with OnlyOffice.

so I’m not sure about OnlyOffice if it is any good or not. And I’m not sure how the cloud works with OnlyOffice or any back ups.

Well WPS office has adds unless you pay to remove adds.

Polaris Office probably fits the bill, and has quite a good track record. You can buy it outright without subscription, but it’s somewhat expensive unless you really need it. For casual use, where you may need to open and view a document several times a year, it’s probably overkill and too exxy.

Otherwise, Documents (Office Docs) seems to be free, and gets good reviews in the App Store.

Kingsoft (the developers) recently went public and it sounds like WPS is still very much alive. Fill version $29.99 per year.

Polaris does offer a limited ad free version for $4.99, but the full ask will set you back $39.99 per year.

The cheapest option is OfficeSuit with a single $19.99 up charge and a free trial.

Please note, I've not tried act of these.

You can use iTunes to add and copy files from OnlyDocument's storage, in the File Sharing window.

Huh? In Australia, there are 2 versions available. One is Polaris Office, which is a cloud-based software that you pay a subscription for, but like Office 365, allows you to work with any device you have.

The 2nd option is a standalone version that costs AUD $30.99 (one-time cost). That’s roughly $18 USD after sales tax is subtracted, and the AUD—> USD conversion.
