Just wondering if there are any apps on the app store, or desktop applications, whereby the user would be able to download from their iPhone a voicemail and save it.

This is for a 3g, non-jailbroken 16gig iphone.

Thanks!

(and if not, any thoughts on if the upcoming 3.0 software may have this capability?)

Nope, just plug your iPhone, from headphone jack to microphone jack and record the messages as they are played. Then again, it is not as though the provider will delete them. The messages eventually get moved to the phone, and are then included in the iTunes backups.

Thanks, TEG

What you've described is what I've heard/read. For me, and maybe others, I'd like to see a simple way to upload your voicemails to your computer so that you may store them. Sure, its great that they're in a backup, but that doesn't seem too practical when/if you want to access the archived voicemails.

There ought to be a way when you sync your phone to your computer through iTunes to actually upload your VM's to a folder. Or maybe there's an app that can retrieve them and send them (wirelessly) to your computer.

Just thinking out loud (and I'm really not that technical). Thanks for your input and time.
