In the sea of all things botched about Apple Music, there's also Connect for artists.
Due to some reason, my three releases have been split into three artists called Ray Grant on Apple Music. One of them was also put together with ANOTHER Ray Grant who obviously didn't bother checking if the name is taken before releasing his single. So I requested access to two out of the three with my iTunes Connect account.
Since they were showing "Verification Pending" for weeks, after AM already started functioning, I got on the phone with an Apple representative who said they would look into the matter. Two days later, the accounts were both Verified. And then I found out I can't post anything from my Mac and from the iTunes Connect website.
Since I didn't want to hog the other Ray Grant's account, I wanted to send a request to Apple to remove that one account and put my three artist pages into one. But iTunes Connect would only allow me to make a complaint regarding iBooks. The Music part just wasn't available. So I sent a message through iTunes Books and got a detailed description of how to make an Apple Music request. Except my account wouldn't allow that...
And then one day I discovered the Apple Music Connect button just disappeared altogether from my account. It's been a week now and it hasn't re-appeared. I can't send a request because the Apple Music section doesn't appear when I click Help. I don't care all that much because I frankly don't think all that many people even click the Connect tab at all (hello Ping 2.0) but... really...
TL;DR version: are there any artists on Macforums who 1) managed to get their Connect accounts to work and 2) use it successfully?
