S soamz macrumors 6502a Original poster Sep 3, 2016 #1 Im on El Capitan. In Safari, the google search works very slow and when I try to open a new tab also, it takes some time. Is it a safari bug ? Macbook pro cannot be at fault, as it is 16Gb RAM and not even 5% usage. What could it be ?

Floris macrumors 68020 Sep 3, 2016 #2 Check with activity monitor app to see if it's the hard drive, memory or cpu that is having issues. Do you have any extensions installed on Safari? Just as a test, does Chrome give you the same type of delays? Is your Internet going over a VPN etc? Perhaps try using Google's public DNS service in case your ISP has issues resolving domains? Just throwing a few things out there to see if you can narrow it down.
