are there any other phones out now that can shoot 1080p?

could apple make it happen

according to gsmarena the motorola currently shoots 720p but should be able to do 1080p with future updates...so no reason the current iphone 4 cant with some tweaks of the ios system.

now will it happen with the next iphone5? who knows.

Why?? Takes too much space (and Apple never adds shooting modes) and is necessary on such a tiny little camera.

if there is any truth to the rumors of a "cheaper iphone 5", then i highly doubt it. im really nervous about where to iphone is headed tbh

i don't think its necessary. the sensors that size won't get that good of a image quality, and a 2 minute movie will be like 150mb+, depending on what's going on in the movie. current configurations of 16 and 32gb won't cut it. it'll be better to get a dedicated video recorder.

Hopefully apple will put a better sensor in the next iPhone, and bump it up to 1080p. That would be awesome. One thing I really like about my iPhone is the camera, and I would shell out more money on an upgrade for a better camera on the phone.

maybe a cydia tweak that will allow the current iphone to go up to 1080p ?

the iphone 3G couldnt do video recording apple sayd in the beginning

but cycorder prove them wrong :p

maybe a dev can take up the challenge :apple:
