Have Apple made any changes to the lock screen? By that, I mean this below...

There is so much wa space here.

Does iOS 14 allow widgets on this page so important at-a-glance data could be displayed without logging in?

I don’t understand why they refuse to let us change those default apps at the bottom at least. Especially the camera, which you can already bring up by swiping. Stupid

I was hoping iOS 14 would allow widgets so you could simply pick up your phone and view information without having to log into your phone. A massive missed opportunity if it can’t be done.

You can do that with a swipe to the right to see the widgets screen as I recall.

You can, though you do need to unlock via touch/faceid as otherwise the details of the widgets are blanked out, presumably for privacy reasons.

I guess that can perhaps depend on the particular apps that offer the widgets. I can see the same information in the widgets I use if I access them from the lock screen without unlocking my phone as when I access them when my phone is unlocked.

The pre-ios 14 widgets act like that for me but the new ones don't

Interesting. I wonder if that's by design (and if there are some additional new controls around that), or if it's some sort of a in-development/bug sort of thing for the moment.

It does seem like something that may end up with user-facing controls. I couldn't find any for now though.
