I remember Eddy Cue's tweet back in June. Any details if this is still the case? I've been running iOS9 Beta on my iPad but wasn't sure if this is still happening and just delayed until the final release.

Any word?

I hope it happens. 25k songs is nowhere even near enough. Over the years I've gathered twice the 100k limit, but 100k would be workable. That's pretty much the only reason I'll be subscribing. Vox offers unlimited, but it's so buggy and there's no method (at least the last version I used) of building playlists and it's just... Not nearly as functional as Apple Music.

I hope Eddy wasn't just BSing or talking about something he "hoped" to do.

My word, I don't even have any bought music or CDs. maybe it's an age thing?

Maybe in some cases! I've just always loved music. I work with it as a career so it's a big part of my life. I don't watch TV aside from a handful of shows but I do listen to music pretty much any time I'm not doing a task for work. Tried Spotify but has little if anything that I listen to on it, nor does Pandora or XM, so I was excited for Apple Music but it sorely needs a capacity upgrade. The amount of music I listen to is abnormal compared to anyone I know, so I'm not sure if it's age only!

Hopefully he was able to get it done. We'll see tomorrow I suppose!

Did Eddy give any specific time frame besides "in iOS 9"? If not that can literally mean 9.0, 9.1, 9.2, 9.3 and so on. If he said before the end of the year (I don't remember what was said) then that points to 9.1 in November since that will likely be the last major update this year.

I'm curious about it too. I figured they'd have upped the limit for beta testers so those of us with large libraries could verify that nothing chokes and dies under the load, but no joy. Maybe that means Eddy was talking out of his hat and the 25K limit won't change.

Hope Apple doesn't limit the increase to 100K to El Capitan users of iTunes. That would be bad.
