Any experience for removing heatsink in CPU tray

Currentpy I'm using macpro09, and with istat and smc fan control to monitor the temperature. The northbridge(which actually is the little heatsink nearby the ram slot and part of it covered by cpuA hsf) showing 63-66c temperature even I blow the fan to 1300rpm.

Wonder if any expert user having the experience of removing that heatsink and clean up, which may lower the "northbridge" temperature?

I think that may be the normal temp. Mine's the same. The power supply also runs around 60 under load. Everything else runs much cooler in my 09.

Northbridge temperatures of 60C is pretty common and I don't just mean on the Mac Pros, this is a common temperature on a lot of computers. I've had many motherboards register 60+. I've been told that the max northbridge is anywhere from 80-100C (not sure if that is true, but I always just go with 80 just to be safe). Anyway, if you really want to tear it apart and try new thermal past, go for it, but if it were me I would leave it alone.
