Any experience transferring number from Verizon?

I just went through the sequence to activate my iPhone, and am in the process to transfer my number from Verizon. I just received an order number, anyone with any experience on how long it took for them to finally have it all activated and ready to go?

There have been SEVERAL posts on this both in threads and in the activation thread here in this forum since last night. Start up there first in that thread.
 
I ported from verizon no problems. Phone worked right away and number was ported about 2 hours later
