Just found in itweakios where they released a carrier hack for iOS 7. Supposedly better signal reception, faster data, native tethering etc. anyone tried this yet?

No experience with that one, but EVERY carrier hack I ever applied to my iPhones left me worse off than before applying it.

I learned a lesson based on reversals and restores.

I would stay away.
Carriers put out ipcc files that optimize their network connectivity for particular devices.
No matter what kind of software hacking you do you will not be able to get better signal where there is no signal or faster speeds where there is no backhaul to support it or when there is network congestion etc..
About native tethering there's many packages that can do that with no negative implications.

I did try this with TMobile. I did not really experience any faster speed or better reception (since it was already very good where I live), however I did notice much faster connection to LTE after hanging up a call and being on regular 4G
