So, I've been googling around and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any FPS benchmarks for the 2011 models yet. More specifically, the i7 27" w/ 6970 1GB and also 2GB.

Yeah +1 for this thread.
Probably a lot people are waiting to receive their now iMac's - would be nice to have some benchmarks to look at.

So seeing as you can plug 2 displays and the 27" has the 6970m, can you do eyefinity gaming in Windows? Even though you'd have to turn down the details and probably resolution to 1080, that would be pretty awesome.

x8 aa
filtering x16

between 40-60 fps it seems.

Now i dont want to sound like a fanboy or anything. But for a all in one system running a brand new game with max settings, everything maxed at those fps, is pretty sweet. turn down the aa/filtering and u will see even more steady fps.

And yes PC people can say their system is running this at 200fps, but the monitor limited the "experience" to 60fps anyways so anything over that is just overkill.

Hope to see more results soon

Yea ... and another experience is, you can´t get those beautifull screen 1440P, IPS panel with a Quad GPU winblows PC unless you pay much much more than an iMac, which would defeat the purpose of showing a Mac for being too expensive

Not to mention fan blows like an aircraft and those unnecessary LEDs on CPU chassis to enlight the darkside of winblows

And insane electric bill of course, so screw you :apple: hater :D

haha those where the days, i remember the "old" days when i was like 13 and had led/cathodes which blinked to the bass of the music.

God. I was terrible :/

Haha! Be a fanboy, mate, if you feel like it. Good for you...!

Mind you - not wanting to rain on the parade - I'd say Portal 2's greater attribute is visual design, rather than graphic complexity. Get Crysis running on that bad-boy, and get back to me...! ;)
