Hey đź‘‹
So I recently got a a Samsung 49” super ultra wide, to go with my mbp M1 Max/64gb.
To be clear it’s a work related purchase, and I didn’t buy it for gaming, and I’m not really a gamer, I have an old Xbox I very rarely play.

But man this screen is so damn gorgeous, super amazing for productivity.. but a little part of me just wants to at least try and see what it’s like playing a, any, game, out of curiosity if anything else.

The Xbox doesn’t support it, and the closest I can get to a full screen experience is a few random videos on YouTube.

Has anyone got any suggestions?

Most of games will scale to WQHD 1440 just not DQFHD which is 5120. I am not sure why superwides didn't go with 5120x2160 instead.

Anyway hope this helps
Thanks 🙂 Yea I found this list, but as a non gamer, it's a bit overwhelming to try and guess which games might be available on Mac, then google it, etc... I quickly got bored.
If and when I ever play games, they are typically open world, rpg type games.

edit: I didn't think to cross reference with Mac games on steam, so there are a few about... I guess there maybe some titles missing from steam though...

Great, this works! Not really enjoying the gameplay to be honest, but it's pretty great to see on the screen anyway 🙌

I never really picked a game because I have an ultra wide. Some older games struggle at least little bit but so far I've not really incurred any specific game that cannot - please note I'm not a huge gamer so what I've tried is a small sample

Not sure if you mean a regular ultra wide, I had one too before upgrading and I never had issues with anything, games or video, but 32:9 super ultra wide seems a bit more specialised.

Also FYI to anyone curious - Civ6 works, although for some reason full screen is not possible - but the window and resolution/aspect ratio fits good to the edges đź‘Ť
