Hey my soon-to-be wife is starting Med School in August, and so of course I will be making her switch to our new 12 inch PB. So are there any good Med. Apps that you guys know of? I guess even Unix ones would be awesome, as OS X can do it. Just wondering.

BAM!

don't know any for the desk top but a good drug program like lexicon, you can get all the major texts, harrison, nelsons, 5 minute consult all on cd rom. There is a lot of stuff for handhelds patient trackers, calculators, growth charts, cardiac risk indexes, cardiac clearance, preop risk, ob wheels. A lot of the stuff is set for the clinic setting i.e. the hospital. I highly recomend epocrates as a great free drug program for the os platform. Tell her good luck. Take her picture so you recognize her since she'll have late nights in gross lab and at the library.:D

I already have

Thanks! Yeah, I'm here in Dallas a semester before her, as I just graduated in December. So I see her like once or twice a month- sounds like it will be the same during Med School. Maybe I'll see her once a week, if she's lucky!
