I was just wondering if anyone knows of any good vector graphics applications. I know that I can use Illustrator, Freehand, Inkscape or Flash when I created icons/etc I was just interested to see if there are any (maybe open source?) applications for Mac OSX, Linux and Windows out there that are good.

fontographer and iconographer are both basic but still very good.

Lineform. From Freeverse. Made by a student and won an Apple Designers award for it last year.

Consider what it can do, you have to wonder why Illustrator is so big of an install, Lineform is a few megs. On the site, there is a 30 day free trial as well.

Inkscape.

Its really fast, but its extremely hard to use, but its free.
Its an X11 app... if you don't know what that means, you will once you start it up...

I've used Inkscape before and I did list it in my initial post. I was just looking for other applications to use besides them.
