I'm having issues SENDING from name@mac.com emails from Mail app and iphone mail - with error:

was rejected by the server p25-smtp.mail.me.com. or "the sender address "name@mac.com" was rejected by the server"

But when I log into icloud.com - seems to work fine - but I never use icloud in a web browser

Any one else having the same problem?

Yes, I had. Had to re-sign into iCloud everywhere and also change password. Somehow it stopped.

Yes, I started experiencing the issue yesterday. If I change the From email address to a .iCloud address, my emails go through. So it seems as only .Mac email addresses are failing. I called Apple Support to let them know.

But did you get your .mac email aliases sending / working again?

I just tried sending from my other mac.com email aliases from Mail – no go, BUT it does send from the master Mac.com email which is my Apple ID, and it also sends out on my me.com. And no problems also using icloud.com. So the issue seems to be the Mac.com ALIASE(S) emails..

Hey sparkie, no luck with Apple Support yet. They are insisting that the issue is local to my machine. I created a new user account on my Mac and setup iCloud on that user account as well and was still having the same issue there as well. I have not tried changing the password like @StoneJack suggested, but ready to give that a try.

I am able to send .mac emails from my iPhone this morning. Strange – wasn't working yesterday

My Mac Pro is still having issues though. I even booted up a backup copy of my OS and copied the outgoing server address:

p42-smtp.mail.me.com

and it still doesn't work..

I tried this one: smtp.mail.me.com from this link and still no luck either..

https://www.lifewire.com/what-are-icloud-mail-imap-settings-1170502

PS I'm running Mail V9.3 and OS X El Capitan V 10.11.6
[doublepost=1543536088][/doublepost]I've finally got it working on my MacPro. Had to delete the iCloud account and create a new one.

During this process Mail must auto assign in and out-going servers. The Server name now is...

p25-smtp.mail.me.com (outgoing)

p42-imap.mail.me.com (incoming)

What a waste of time. Hours lost trying to get this working and should not happen, or at least Apple should give a server maintenance or warning advance notice. NEVER had any problems with gmail.

My mother is having trouble getting emails on her @me.com address. The issues is present on her iPhone, iPad and on a web browser. In the processes i discovered that her alias of @icloud.com works just fine but her @me.com wont do anything.

Oddly enough mine seems to be working just fine. Something weird is definitely going on.

With USD $285 Billion in cash reserves, one would think they can keep their emails/servers going...
