Any help ? Lumia 925 purchase decision

I had the chance to buy a pretty much mint condition Lumia 925 for £25 last night, so I didn't hesitate at that price.(to use as a media player)
However, this phone only comes with built in memory. This is where I'm having a problem.
I wrongly assumed that I would simply plug it into my mac and transfer my music across, but it seems not to recognise the phone.
Anybody had this problem, and is there a solution ?

Download a Windows emulator (VMWare Fusion or Parallels), then plug your 925 in. Windows 8 or 10 should auto recognize it.

I found a way to get my photos and videos across, I just googled Nokia photo transfer, and the first on the list worked ! Still looking to get at least some music across, but I'll get there.
