Hi there !

Since it´s quiet hot here I asked myself if there is any cooling modification part out there that significantly improves the cooling power without additional noises. Maybe some additional fan in some kind of "hat" for top or some kind of a "cooling skin housing" ? Indeed the nMP has a quiet impressive cooling system but I think improving even further would be a good thing.

Something else: Are there any colored replacement housings ? Would be quiet nice to see my nMP in red, green, gold, whatever, from time to time a change, would be appreciated.

Guess there´s nothing like that but it´s free to ask... :)

PS: Anyone here knows if it would be possible to golden / silver (ect) the housing ?

The nmp doesn't need extra cooling. Adding any further cooling contraption to it would be like putting ice cubes in a martini. Same for the colored housing. I think the only acceptable substitute is a clear case.

Your best bet might be to replace the factory thermal compound with some Arctic MX-4. Might lower temps by a few degrees. They do an awful job at the factory in applying the stuff (way too much):

What I have found to help on hot days is to cool the air around the work station with some low level circulation from a fan. Also helps the "computer operator."

Colors etc. are just a matter of taste. Clear case would be nice from my pov, too....

I´ve changed the CPU and added a high-quality thermal compound in the process. Didn´t help a lot, though. If it helped anything. All the work just to replace the tc ... would never recommend that.. not worth it.
