I am not so happy with the keyboard case for the new iPad Pro 12.9”. It is just stuck st the back of the iPad with the magnet but what if the iPad falls to the ground? There is no proper protection.

Has Logitech or another company announced their case?

Haven't seen any yet (from the big casemakers I mean). Personally I'm waiting for UAG to introduce a case. Their cases for the previous Pro's were awesome (although I don't quite like them on phones as much).

BIG QUESTION: Now that Apple has changed the location of the Smart Keyboard connector on the 2018 Pro’s and opted for folio style cases, I have an issue. My workflow requires me to REMOVE the Smart Cover front portion most of the time (I don’t need the keyboard). Does anybody know if cases allowing this are in the pipeline? I just ordered the 12.9” and of course want to protect it properly, but need to have a removable front cover. Any info will be much appreciated! Thanks!

Apple’s folio case allows you to flip the cover around - will that work, or do you need the cover completely removed? The keyboard folio will do the same, if you need physical keys.

I know. But I need a removable front Smart Cover, like they used to be. Don’t necessarily need a keyboard.
