I dunno what they charge for a charging port, but my home button on my mini 2 broke out of warranty, and the Apple employee said they couldnt fix it. So i had to set up a virtual home button. It works, but is kind of a pain to use. I'm just holding onto it to see if Apple announces an mini update at the iphone/ios 11 event. If not, then i'm gonna nab the 10.5" ipad pro. Good luck with your mini.

How did you setup a virtual home button?

It's an ipad mini 2 w lightning port btw.

I had a problem charging my iPad mini and the solution was simply to take a needle and to remove the dust in the lightning port. Same for iPhone 5 that didnt charge unless the cable was moved side to side until connection established.
