Summary: Every time I jailbreak the phone I use it for the first couple of reboots with no issues. The phone just works, I can cydia-ize it to my hearts content. And then a little bit into it at some point I reboot to install a new hack or I'm getting on a flight and the following occurs. It gives me that bs* where it starts booting up but then shuts off randomly on the apple logo. So then I have to put it into DFU and restore it and rejailbreak it. This has now occured like 8 times and it's really getting annoying.
I've decided this time to establish it as a new phone instead of restoring my backup. Any ideas on what the hell is happening here????
See below for the details of what I was doing when this all started.

Ok, so here's the deal, I had a 3G for about a year and a half, and the last month of that I jailbroke it for the first time and my eyes were opened to what it's like to have a fully functional phone. I had some issues though with the small amount of ram and backgrounding some things I wanted to, so I finally pulled the trigger about 3 weeks ago and bought a 3G(s).
It's been great, and I'm assuming as I was able to jailbreak the phone immediately on purchase using pwnage that I have the old bootrom. For the first 3 weeks everything in jailbreak land was fine.
I had fully customized everything, put all my favorite cydia apps and hacks on, had rebooted the phone multiple times without issue, and then came Rock Your Phone. I installed it to try MyWi and after deciding it wasn't worth it I was all set to remove Rock and MyWi. Then I read a post on the forums here about using it to enable tethering by going in via SSH and deleting Rock and MyWi, which I did and it worked.
Now I'm not sure if that's where the issue started but here's what happened. I then decided to reinstall Rock to get that stupid Transmission client and the phone went haywire as I had removed the .deb files but not the other junk. Is it possible that Rock (being the evil application that it is) has sabotaged my phone through my own stupidity?
Whew, sorry for all the info, just thought I'd put it out there before I was asked for clarification. Hence me putting the issue at the top.
