I have been making photo slideshows in imovie for several years now. I just do it of my kids to make our pictures a little more interesting. I am starting to get a fan following amoungst my family and getting requests to do movies for them. I want to upgrade to something that gives me more options for titles, transitions, effects, etc. Any suggestions as to what programs are out there for this?

I called my local apple store to look into final cut express. I thought that would be my best options but the rep there said that final cut was more for video edditing and would not serve my purpose. Was he right?

Please let me know what would be my best option.

Thanks!
Jarrod

Surprisingly, Keynote might be a good option for you especially if you already have it. If you don't, it's an inexpensive purchase.

just a thought

im new to macs and dont know any of the extensive software but I know there are some programs that are specific to slideshow-making, so if you google something along the lines of "slideshow program" [you can add more keywords if results are bad or you want to be more specific to what kind of effects you want] and do some research i'm sure you'll find something.. just i thought in case you need a plan B :)
