Last year (2017) there was a period of time between the announcement and the actual start of orders when pre-approvals could be made with Apple/Citizens One. That eliminated that part of the process when the actual orders started.
If the announcement is on Sept 12 and orders start on Sept 14, that does not leave much time. Last year there was at least a week.
This year I can see that my iPhone is eligible for upgrade with a one month payment to meet the 12 payments requirement. I don't remember if that information was available from the Apple web site a year ago. Any information if that replaces the pre-approval process that was used last year?
