Hi all!
I am waiting for my MBO 14 to arrive, and I wonder if you guys that already got your new MBP are dealing with any QC issues, like dents on the aluminum body, any creacks while opening and closing the monitor lid like last year's MPBs or any similar issues.

Just be careful while wiping the screen. Screen after 2015 has been pretty... soft and can be scratched much easier. I use Zeiss lens cleaning wipes for mine.

My 14" could have better white uniformity. It has a bit of green tint in the upper right quadrant.
I'll probably be returning it and hoping for better luck next time. It's a fantastic machine otherwise.

Any chance of posting a pic showing it?

Sure, I'll try to show ya.

It's only apparent when scrolling dark text on white background. The left size doesn't bother me, but the right is distracting. Appears like green to pink tint on the right side.

I can’t get an external webcam to work with it. Lots of others are having the same problem. It seems minor, but it is going to really mess with my remote work setup Monday morning.

Report it to apple so they can fix it in 12.1.

I got the usual Bluetooth mouse issue

If you move a bit to the right, so you are straight on with that right upper quadrant of the display, is the green tint still apparent?

yeah it's just about the same, maybe ever so slightly better. Makes me wonder if it's an uneven AG coating.

I picked mine up from the Apple store yesterday (amazingly they had the exact spec I wanted in stock nearby so I ordered and picked it up). There are absolutely no issues with it at all.

Aside from software issues, which are to be expected the first days after a major OS release, any hardware issues like any manufacturing defects, dents or imperfections with the aluminum body or other?

There will be always some degree of non uniformity. Most of the times due to limitations that cause some color shifting.
I have extremely sensitive eyes when it comes to color uniformity, and at least on pictures or did not seem bad at all.

Nope. Mine looks perfect - and I checked! I am OCD enough to be bothered by a dent or scratch. It is driving me crazy that there are not any case covers out yet. I bought a sleeve for a 13" that fits but I always put a case cover on mine. Oh well anyway I have had zero issues with mine so far.

The new body design is much better in your lap. No hard edges.

The screen is gorgeous.

The performance is off the charts.

Any complaints people may have is the usual first world problem.

And don't forget that with this design the uneven plate / foots are gone!
I did hate when it started to wobble on the table etc. but now it's gone :)
