think the true tone display and faster CPU be worth upgrading to or is the 10.5 iPad the route you are going to go?

Yes, to all the IPad Pro 9.7" owners...Apple would luv to see you buy the 10.5 or the updated 12.9"!!!

Go out and get your order in. :D

Get back on the merry-go-round, what...little more than a year later. Apple needs you. It's hot stuff. :D

Hurry...they might have early shortages. :D

think the true tone display
iPad Pro 9.7 already has a True Tone display. Wide Color P3 display too. One new feature in the display you would be getting is the brighter screen, like the iPhone 7, if you're fond of that (I am)

I'm getting the 12.9 Pro not as an upgrade to the 9.7 Pro but as a complement. I had been planning on getting a bigger tablet for a while. I was just waiting for hardware upgrades before biting the bullet. I'm so glad I managed to muster enough patience albeit there were a few close calls. :p

To be perfectly honest, I would've been fine with just the CPU and GPU bump but this model delivers much more than I expected. The increase to 512GB capacity, USB 3, etc. at the same price as the 256GB model back in March 2016 made the wait very, very worthwhile. :D

I'm also down to 20-30GB free on my 9.7 Pro primarily due to comics. It would be good to be able to offload those to the 12.9 Pro 512GB.

I'm thinking of upgrading to the new 12.9. Either as a replacement for my 9.7 Pro or to compliment it. I was going to get a new MacBook Pro, but even after this refresh, I remain unimpressed with it. Lots of QC issues with the MBP in my opinion.

So, I've started thinking of a different strategy. New 12.9 iPad Pro for portable use (editing photos on the go mostly). The new iOS 11 and Files will help also. Then, in the fall, a new iMac Pro for at home for using Logic Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom and Final Cut.
