Any iPad Updates soon?

I'm planning on buying my dad an iPad for his Birthday, which is in August. I know thats still a few months away but I wanna get a head start. But I was wondering If there will be any updates on the iPad before that. Like maybe a fix on the wi-fi? I'm gonna get him the 16GB Wi-Fi model.

Software update in autumn/fall to bring it up to date with iOS 4.

I wouldn't expect a hardware bump until next January — April.

Apple is on a yearly cycle for their other devices (iPod, iPhone). I wouldn't expect this to be much different.

It is possibly we might see small price drop by this holiday, but new model? No....

Not too likely since Apple can't keep up with demand as it is. In a for profit business you only drop the price to stimulate sales of units setting on the shelf not just out of some benevolence.
