iPad Any iPads that don't suffer from white spots ?

I've had a couple Pro 12.9's that developed a white spot after a week. Just picked up a 3rd gen iPad Air 10.5 and it had one above the home button right out of the box.

Is there any other iPads where this doesn't happen ? The new iPad Air 10.9" maybe ?

Never heard of it on the pros. We have 2 x 11' 2018 and are fine, our old 10.5 pro had it and airs get it.

No white spots on the budget iPads as far as I'm concerned.

But after 4 months my Pro 11” 2020 is fine.

I definitely had a faint white spot on my 10.5" Pro. It wasn't super noticeable unless I was on an all white screen, so I never did anything about it. I owned the 2018 11" Pro and the 2020 12.9" Pro after that and never had the white spot issue on either of those.

I bought a 12.9" in early October that is still perfect today. I also had two 12.9" 2018 pros. The 1TB had slightly uneven lighting on one corner and the 512GB was prefect. I sold them both over the last year though.

The standard iPad isn’t impacted by back light bleed or white spots. Though it seems most of the newer pros are also ok.

If they are original, it may depend on the update on iOS or, unfortunately, a defect. But, I think that 95% of this is all from the current version of iOS. Some apps are not configured for these screen resolutions at all.

From what I’ve read, the entry level iPads as well as the newer Pros don’t suffer from white spots.

The white spots are pretty common on the 10.5 pro and seem to start to appear on the air 3. Other than that, they are extremely rare, so if 1 person out of 100000 has it, it's not really a reason to be worried
