I'm about to purchase some Beats Fit Pro. I've used EarPods since they came out but finally decided to go wireless. I'm leaning towards the Fit Pro because I'll be using them mostly at the gym where I move around some so I want something that "locks" into place. I also like the sweat resistance.

Should I worry about them not fitting my ear? I don't want to order them, have issues, then have to deal with returning them.

As far as sound, I should be ok with that. The new AirPods Pro are very tempting but I worry about them slipping out. My EarPods slip around a little just being on the elliptical machine and at least with them, they're connected to the other ear.

Have had every AirPod and “workout” headphones under the sun. BFP are by far the best and actually sound surprisingly good (not muddy). Owned since launch and use them 4-5 days a week with no issue.

I'm reading about quality issue with the Beats, mostly the little wings are tearing off and the case feels cheap (I'm more concerned about the wings). Would you say I should spend the little extra and go with the APP? I'm not doing really heavy moving so if they start slipping I'd have time to readjust.

BFP are much more secure than APP and I find them very comfortable. The wings tend to gently hold them in place, rather than relying on jamming it into your ear canal.
That said, everyone's ears are different, so there is a small chance that they simply will not fit your ears: the wings need to hook into your "antihelix."

I also find pressing on the BFP much easier than squeezing airpod stems when doing strenuous activities.

The only time a BFP has fallen out my ear was when I brushed it out with a heavy glove while mountain biking.

The only issue I have found with BFP is wind noise (not an issue in a gym). But this is an issue with various airpods too.

Case is plasticky and easy to fumble, but this is not a good reason to not get them.
