just wondering if there are any issues while connecting new ipod shuffle or any new ipod through new imac's aluminum keyboard usb 2.0 port, cause i tried connecting shuffle through keyboard and it read it the first time but then tried ejecting it and had problems connecting it again while having the imac receive the ipod, i ran techtool deluxe, the program that came with applecare, and it said that usb ports were running correctly, does that apply also to keyboard usb ports? thanks

I exclusively hookup my 2nd gen ipod shuffle to the port on the left side of the new aluminum keyboard. I have a 24" mid-2007 imac.

I don't think it works unless you have the latest imac. The fine print on http://www.apple.com/keyboard says:

"*Devices that draw high power from the USB connection, such as iPods, hard drives and some flash drives, can only be used with the new keyboard when it is attached to the aluminum iMac."

My iPod can't work on the new keyboard as well.
I'm using a Mac Pro.

Bummer.
