Hi all
Just got prompted to do OS updates to the latest Security Update 2018-004 on 10.12.6 and having read through the list of changes by Apple, was wondering whether anything they've done might muck up my nicely working Macpro3,1 macOS Sierra installation.
Notably they've made changes to some AMD code and I use an AMD GPU so am always twitchy about allowing Apple 'security' changes which may be designed to keep out us unsupported Macs.
They've also apparently enforced some EFI Firmware updates which I'm also wondering could maybe break the unsupported Macs?
If they can try to mothball a Macpro3,1's for the sake of a cheap wifi card update (which mine didn't even require!) then they're more than willing to add updates to scupper the work of our noble cause!
Any guidance or experiences welcome.
