i really like what they do with their games - adding nonsense humour to characters, and putting a lot of emphasis on "fun". i can't really explain it, but every time i see a new game from them i know i'm gonna have a great time playing it. on my pc i had the harry potter lego titles, and this was probably the only thing i thought i'd miss on a mac - but to my pleasure, the first thing i saw on the app store was lord of the rings lego title - and let me tell you, it's awesome. much better than the EA titles. the gameplay is nice and simple, and the plot is very accurate. oh, and there are a lot of cut scenes from the movies, but with lego characters and their quirks which add to the "fun" factor i just mentioned.

so if you had fun with previous titles (batman, harry potter, pirates of the caribbean) you won't be disappointed!

Best of the bunch for me was Lego Batman 2 & Lego City Undercover

We love the Lego games over here at MacGames.co.uk & have lots on our website (more that on the App Store if you're trying to track certain games down!) One of my favourite parts is the comments in the 'system requirements' - here's one from Lego Harry Potter for example: "The Ministry of Magic strongly advises that this game should be played out of sight of Muggles." Never noticed them until recently!

Check out all the Lego Games we have to offer - download (worldwide) or by post (uk & europe) here: MacGames.co.uk/Lego

for some reason I've never been able to bring myself to play a lego game. Love legos outside the game, but in a game? I don't know. I need major convincing.

Every time I play a LEGO game I wish there were more non-LEGO versions of those franchises and of equal quality.

I have both Lego Star Wars games on Mac. Both hugely enjoyable! Seeing your complete list makes me question why I haven't yet bought more Lego games since? Probably simply due to a lack of gaming time, etc. but I intend to buy more in future. :)

Try a free demo from the Feral website and see for yourself. That's what I did and then by good fortune, six titles went on sale on Origin for half off right after that and I bought them all!

I thought these must be games for little kids. I am 54 years old and while I once loved Legos, I am a little old for Lego characters. I was completely wrong. You are never too old to have fun. These are enjoyable games with some humor woven in and in familiar worlds from films.

I should add that while YMMV, I found the games to be more enjoyable with a gamepad. They just seemed to control really well that way although having one is not required. I use a Logitech F-510 with my iMac and it works perfectly with no special software needed, no fooling around, it just works.
