I'm thinking about purchasing a longboard after 3 years of street skating, post up your setups.

I longboard quite a bit. If you're thinking of getting into it have a look over at http://www.silverfishlongboarding.com and check out the Q&A section of the forum.

I ride a Kebbek Jon Caften with modified Randal 180s and ABEC 11 Flywheels, and a Wefunk Lac Leman with Tracker RTX/RTS 139s and Pink Sicksicks wheels. They're both amazing boards for different things, the Wefunk especially, but they're not cheap.

What sort of riding are you looking to get into? Speedboarding? Slalom? Just cruising around?

edit: I just looked at the news on that site and it looks like Wefunk are no more, the owner has moved to work as a composites engineer in F1. His composite work truly is amazing.

here we go

this one isn't mine since i paint skateboards for a living, but this board is a long street board and rather narrow at 9.25" inch wide and a mellow concave in front and a steep concave in back

the length is typical longboard though, 44" inches

i will probably outfit this board with independent 169s and hard wheels to make this board able to perform tricks, or put on gullwings or randal r-2 180 trucks on them with soft wheels to make it ride more like a smooth, carving longboard

my personal boards are short boards....7.5" inch with steep concave, modern street deck with tensor low mullens and 50 mm. element wheels,

...and 8.3" inch old school street deck akin to early '90s style with indy stage 9 149s and 54 mm. bones 100s wheels
