Last Mac event was Nov 2020. So any confirmed Mac event for 23 or 30 March?

Historically all Apple events for more than a decade occurs on a Tuesday

Or is the current supply chain constrains causing shortages for parts for 2021 Macs?

There is a rumored Appel event on 23.03, but whether it will include Macs is as much adore guess as anyone else's.

I think the new Mac's will be launched in Q3 2021 unfortunetly. The event next week is mainly for the iPad Pro which will probably be as fast as the M1 Mac's currently since they share the same chip design (A14) and the iPad Pro is also fanless like the M1 MBA.

However, Apple could surprise us with an entry level M1 iMac? This is not super hard to do. Just put the M1 that is currently in the MBA / MBP 13/ Mac Mini in the entry level iMac and start shipping. This machine will be fast enough for 99% of the people who do simple facebook / youtube / e-mails / word. Even my 12.9 iPad Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max is overkill for such things.

Apple has not officially confirmed any event yet. All of the talk about a March 23 event is speculation and rumor at this time, nothing more.

And I would expect an announcement in the next day or so if there is going to be something on the 23rd. If it is minor then it could just be a video attached to a press release though. Maybe an iPad Pro with a new mini-LED display and an A14X instead of an A15 etc and nothing else new.

Apple could just drop an announcement video if it's a minor update/refresh. I'm not sure Apple is going back to the formal events any time in the near future, and the highly produced events such as WWDC, the iPhone/iPad Air event, and the M1 debut were all worthy of the attention, time, and resources Apple put into producing them.
