I tried the terminal command but it doesn't seem to be able to format my usb stick for APFS

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sonoma.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled

You need to start with an HFS+ disk, same as with the older installers.

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sonoma.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled
Downloading the following .pkg File-
https://swcdn.apple.com/content/downloads/26/09/042-58988-A_114Q05ZS90/yudaal746aeavnzu5qdhk26uhlphm3r79u/InstallAssistant.pkg

And then running the following Terminal Command after "installing" the above downloaded .pkg File-
Code:
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sonoma.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyVolume

I've done this twice on two different Macs since yesterday's release.
