Was wondering the same thing myself....seems like before Christmas the new seeds were coming every two days - meaning release was imminent - and then - nothing.

What's the point...? Every time they release new updates that are supposedly no know issue, new problems get introduced...

What's their latest build...? 12D44...? Ask the common people who are testing it, and they'll tell you a damn long list of unsorted problems...

That Ferengi ain't doing his work right, and should be fired like Forstall...

Well, the last beta build came out some days before Christmas last year. The last two weeks many people were on Holiday, so this is the first week of 2k13 where everybody should be on board again. I would expect another beta as early as next monday.

New updates introduce new bugs? Noooooooooooo.

On a serious note, can you name one piece of software in the history of computing where this isn't the case? And you're calling for someone to be fired because of this?

so based on a persons join date it is ok to call them noobs if they are "new" to the forums?
For all you know he could have been using mac since Lisa...
I think his question is good.

I would like to see apple doing more focus on their mac line again.
like see a new EFI update for rMBP for there is clearly something wrong.
And so many small thing there could be optimised.

You are right, but the point here is that Apple has exceeded what should be reasonable of late.

EVERY OS release the make seems to make things worse. Take a look at their stock price as this is reflective of their inability to produce working software products (Maps).

I can't remember the last time I updated my IOS as the postings on this site always are negative.

Same with Mountain lion. I am still on 10.7. On my rMBP, lets discuss the EFI f-up...

Can we just get back on topic, please? This is not a thread about your first computer.

The question again is: are mdworker, sandboxing and wake-from-sleep issues fixed in 10.8.3?

no 10.8.3 is still junk with graphical glitches in mail , various mem leaks it is nowhere as good as 10.8.2 and yes I have access to the dev builds legally

is that enough on topic for you this after is a forum for discussion mainly rumours by definition not always facts

leopard was the last and greatest Mac OSX build they will only tidy up the loose ends with a 12 month cycle ,that is not sufficient time to change the look and functionality of a OS

so all future OSx will look the same just with more bugs in them as they try to patch the patches so to speak

the only line of code that was error fee was Print " hello world " in basic opps that was a bit off topic
Caveat emptor

I have had no problems with wake-from-sleep on my 2012 cMBP under 10.8.3

ymmv

Did you have problems with 10.8.2? My system has been affected intermittently and I'm dying to get a fix. I'm getting tired of having to cold boot every time the machine doesn't wake from sleep properly.

I use ethernet and am connected to a Thunderbolt display and a USB mouse so you might have a problem that has something to do with Bluetooth.

No, the problem affects Ethernet as well - I've had several disconnects upon wake; it requires ifconfig en0 down and then up again to be reactived...

I am using a BT Apple keyboard and Magic Trackpad. Is there some correlation between using these and the sleep issues? FWIW, I cannot wake the machine using the keyboard on my MBP either. TIA.
