any news on IMEI change for the 3GS or 3G

before some one says this is illegal let me tell you IT ISNT IN EVERY COUNTRY so if your not going to be constructive please stay out of the thread

i want to know if there is a method to change the IMEI on the 3GS or 3G
even if it doesnt change the physical chip but rewrites the software reporting it like ziphone did for the 2g
if not is there any project that is working on it?
what about a new ziphone for the 3gs would it be possible and/or probable?
where is the most active iphone forums for hacking and unlocking discussion?
