I mean good games not little independant company little kid games
Could try google "Mac game news"
Yes, there's some on the horizon. Some good, some bad, some unknown. I'm waiting for a spore myself but it appears it'll be CIDER wrapped so I might not buy it.
I'm actually entrigued by Blizzards job postings which stated "next gen mmo" and curious what they've got in store which I'm pretty sure (considering their track record) will be Mac compatible.
Why wouldn't you buy it just because its cider? Your on mac intel it will run fine so far all the cider ports run better then any of the crappy apysr ports

I recommend playing something like Quake 4 (ported by Aspyr) and then comparing that to a cider game.
Kkat's got plenty of experience with the crap the 2142 cider port was.
In addition to getting little help from EA with the mac version, I also contacted transgaming (the makers of cider) about it.
Let me give you a brief overview of what transpired:
My first email to transgaming: October 18th
Their first response: NOVEMBER 20th
My answer: November 21st
Their response: November 29th - He told me that he couldn't open up the Safari webarchives. I had sent him copies of my EA support tickets that I saved with Safari. I was of course pissed that a transgaming rep couldn't open a Safari file.
My answer: November 29th - I sent him PDF versions of the Safari files he couldn't open.
His response: December 5th - asked me for an apple system profiler report
My answer: December 5th - I sent him a copy of an ASP report... and also mentioned that I had included one already in my second email to him.
His response: December 14th - Patch 1.4 is out. See if it helps with anything.
My Answer: December 14th - It didn't help.
His response: there wasn't any.....
I sent a followup email on December 22nd saying that I was going to try to get the PC version of BF 2142, because i was tired of dealing with both their own support and EA's support.
I never heard back from Transgaming.
On the bright side, I was able to obtain a PC copy of the game from EA.
On the not so bright side, I have little faith in transgaming.
I've ben getting hooked on Steam lately. We need something like that. Like an iTunes for games, but then really for games. Maybe some coupling with iChat or Adium.
Anyways, I will -not- buy a Cider game. Never. I've tried EVE and Uru, and that was enough.
I'm looking forward to Stacraft II, and maybe Spore if it's not Ciderized.
crossover is an option for you then. I've heard that they've done a lot of work so that crossover runs smoothly with steam games.
It's not so much about the actual app as about the concept. I would love some kind of iTunes/social networking thingy specifically for games for Mac. That, or nicely integrated into existing apps.
http://www.macgamestore.com/ has digital downloads, but for most Grade A games (for lack of a better term) they only sell boxed copies. Most of their digital downloads are for smaller games : \
Yah, I'm thinking of getting the IMG pro account (lifetime) for the free games and discount on the kids games.
and Hey!! they have strip poker!![]()
what games would u get?
This is the list:
Age of Mythology
Railroad Tycoon 3
Return to Castle Wolfenstein
Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005
And do u have to choose your 4 free games right away, or can you wait for them to alter the selection?
I'm also waiting for the First Strike mod to go v1.2 and get back to playing BF2142 with the FS mod. I noticed some ==Macs== guys on the other night.
