Still looking to replace the old NetNewsWire, and nothing has come close to their functionalities in term of syncing (WITHOUT Google).

Free RRS works nice but no syncing, and no export/import of lists.

Not sure why but Apple is missing the boat on that one, a killer RRS reader from them that syncs with Safari/email on the Mac would blow them past Blackberries and android...

After giving up on NetNewsWire for iPhone I've found Reeder to be a good alternative. It still uses Google for the account syncing but these days I doubt many developers want to maintain their own RSS syncing backend.

I used to use manifesto. If worked independently of google reader. Not sure if it still does as I also switched to reeder a while back.

Tks.

People seem to complain NewsRack is slow with the last update.

Manifesto looks nice.

Rainbow RSS is free, will try that one.

None of these do import/export of feeds or non Google syncing.

I am not aware of any RSS reader that does non-Google Reader sync. If you just want to get to the OPML, you could sync to Google Reader then export the OPML file from there.

Actually I've never hidden that;)

At any rate: I'm the dev of Rainbow RSS Reader. Throw stones here \./ ;)

Um... you came into a thread where the OP is looking for a RSS reader and you suggested yours without disclosing you are the dev. ;)

Well, my nickname coincides perfectly with the App's developer name and I've posted a thread announcing the App right beneath this one. Waving both my hands and saying: "I did this, yeah, yeah" didn't come to my my mind as a reasonable line of behaviour.

I mean – if my nick were "Jimbirigin" would've you actually realised I were the developer? Or are you trying to say you had to call Langley to find out who I were? ;)))

If you really think anybody reading this thread, now or in the future, would know from just looking at your post that you are the dev, I think you are kidding yourself.

Well, the way things are now, it would be very hard not to notice, given this long OT discussion. And actually it's more than fine with me as, I repeat, I had no intention on hiding the fact that I'm the dev.

Unless you prove that I was trying to scum people into believing I weren't the dev pray let's get over this nonsense.

Thank you!
