I think the form factor would be great for my wife to use in the limited space we have. She mainly uses windows xp for work and I would love to have her use the mac mini as a windows xp machine. (Where when she reboots, it goes into windows xp by default.)

Does anyone use the mac mini as windows XP machine? What is the downside?

Mine has Vista under bootcamp and works very well. Office, Cisco VPN, Windows games, etc... all work fine. The mini is a great little Windows system.

Eventually, you may convert her completely to OS X (I was unsuccessful with my spouse, perhaps you'll do better).

Cheers,
