Well you just said you don't want to learn another OS. Apple only has the iPhone. So seems like your best bet is just to wait for the iPhone 6. But Android and Windows Phone are very easy to use, just as iOS is.

The original HTC One(M7) is a great phone and I enjoyed using one for about 6 months. I do need to point out that the camera sucked.

Check out the Moto X, it's arguably one of the best Android phones available right now.

I really like the Lumia 1520. I'm thinking about getting that as a convergent device to replace my iPhone and carry tablet duties. I'd much rather only have 1 device.

I take it you're new to this sub-forum :D

If you just want a second device to play with until iPhone 6 comes out but don't want to waste money on flagship prices, I'd recommend getting a used Moto X. Furthermore, stock Android (more or less what you get on Moto X) is not very different to iOS.

I thought that if I would avoid Apple and Samsung smartphones altogether, I would be selling myself short and have a very limited catalog to choose from. Not so! Plenty of HTC, LG, and Sony phones to keep me interested.

My latest choices deals with exciting price points.

Asus Zenfone 5! In red! $150! But the rumored specs and possible price point of the Moto E has also got me excited. I'm hoping $99! Now that will really change the game for entry level phones. Moto E only at 6mm thin and with a expandable memory slot to boot.

So Zenfone 5 or Moto E for me. But there is still a ton of phones that will likely get released later in the year with just enough exciting specs and price points...

Once you move to Android and see how it is so much more useful than the limited iOS platform, you'll wish you made the move sooner. You don't have to be a technical nerd or a phone geek to work them or appreciate the differences either. However, if you're not at all interested in the upgrades or a power user of a smart phone, then yes, perhaps stay iOS.

Asus Zenfone 5

Hadn't even considered ASUS for smartphones.
Just had a quick look....PixelMaster tech looks interesting and the ZenUI actually looks pretty nice.

A bit of a shame they haven't put a 13MP camera in the 5" Zenfone.

Went from an iPhone 4s to the Galaxy Note 3 running Nova Launcher and 64gb of additional storage.
