Hello, the German testing website (with an English translation option) have conducted comprehensive reviews of most of Apple's iPad models. Their recent review of the iPad 8 (https://www.notebookcheck.net/Apple...f-the-lower-priced-Apple-tablet.498377.0.html) states that the iPad 8 has a slightly inferior display image quality than its predecessor the iPad 7. They back up their claim with numerical measurements such as slightly poorer brightness, contrast, color and grayscale accuracies. However before I accept their conclusions I'd like to see some corroboration from another source. So does anyone know of an alternative web site that have performed similar tests on iPads? Thanks!

They say that the iPad 7 cam with an A11 SoC (which isn't true), so it appears that they're not reputable.

I'd say that the problem is that they review a single sample of each device. I don't know how much sample variation there is, but without that information I also don't know how much significance to attach to a comparison.

That's not getting at them: I can't name any review site that gets multiple devices and so is able to measure that. So you are right to look for a second opinion, as that's the best way to get an impression of how consistent any differences are. Unfortunately I don't know another that publishes this type of measurement; Anandtech used to do quantitative comparisons (but not the screen uniformity measurement), but it's a couple of years since they've done an iPad review and so they've not reviewed either device.
